Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actor, and activist. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actress just after emigrating to United States. In AT&T television commercials she played the role as Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 through 2016 and 2020. Apart from her commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl on Marvel Rising in 2018 following her role in the pilot TV series New Warriors. Vayntrub, was a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. At the age of two she emigrated with her parents to U.S. to escape antisemitism. She settled in West Hollywood. The financial struggles of her family caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. She dropped out of the school in her sophomore year. She earned a GED and then obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from the University of California San Diego. Vayntrub was a student of improv comedy in the Upright Citizens Brigade
